It’s no secret that the enthusiasm of the Deus community is the lifeblood of The Emporium of Postmodern Activities. When the community gets together and does its thing is when Deus feels most like Deus. With this in mind, it’s no stretch of the imagination to say The Boundless Enthusiasm Bike Build Off was Deus at its finest. Bearing witness to the creativity and ingenuity behind each build as it was wheeled into the lot was an inspiration. Talking to the proud builders about their work and hearing their stories was an education. And seeing those same builders’ eyes go wide over a neighboring machine as they made a beeline for it was a revelation, a testament to the limitlessness of enthusiasm that can be applied to the building of motorcycles. Even our expert panel of judges was buzzing on the creative spirit that was pulsing through the air. The music was dazzling as The Hollow Legs slayed the crowd with their homegrown blend of rock and roll, while DJ Elevator Sex kept the crowd moving to sounds of vintage vinyl. Pizzanista! wafted the irresistible aroma of tomato and mozzarella pies around the Emporium. It was a great day to be a motorcyclist, an even greater day to be a member of the Deus community, and one of the greatest days at The Emporium of Postmodern Activities ever.
