On July 18, 2012, Pizzanista! held our first official Guest Chef Night with artist & North Carolina BBQ maestro Andrew Burke. In proper Southern style, after pickling some red onions the week prior, Andrew stayed up the whole night before the event, drinking whiskey, hickory smoking and BBQing two 19 lb. pork shoulders. The fruits of his labor were two phenomenal pizzas: a pulled pork pizza with homemade pickled onions and the Cacalaca Jesus (pulled pork, Italian sausage, pepperoni & bacon). Our customers were stoked and the North Carolina Barbecue Society would be proud!
